Court Records in Bergen County, New Jersey

Bergen County court records are available for public inspection and viewing per judicial rule 1.38. The presumptive right to access records does have some exceptions, though, such as child sexual abuse scenarios, civil commitment records, grand jury cases, and family division proceedings. Alternatively, one can obtain the records from the New Jersey web access platform for civil and criminal case records. The courts retain the right to seal records if they find suitable reasons.
